CD Usage |
|
It's easy! Simply place the
Configuration CD into your CD-ROM drive and the
software should load automatically. If the software
does not load after 5-10 seconds, then your computer
probably has the Autostart feature of Windows
disabled, and you'll need to load the software
manually. Click on Start, then Run, and Browse to
the CD-ROM drive in My Computer. Double-click on the
autorun.inf file to place it in the Open line in the
Run dialog box, then click on the OK button to load
the CD software.
Once completed, you should see our
USA2net Configuration CD menu screen displayed, as
below:

To use the menu, position your
mouse pointer over the desired button and click on
it. Selecting the "Setup a USA2net Dialup
Account" button loads up our configuration
software and allows one to configure a dialup
connection and/or email account. The "On-Disc
Technical Support" button will load within your
default internet browsing software, and will
function directly from the CD.

the dialup account setup utility, click

Internet Setup Utility |
|
Using the dialup account setup utility to setup a dialup account
and email address is a fairly straightforward process - just fill in the
blanks, select your county and click on the Next button! Make your screen look
like the one below, substituting your login information for the Full Name,
Username, and Password lines.

Don't forget to select your county! Also, if you have call
waiting and would like to disable it only while you're online with USA2net, make
sure to put a check in the first checkbox labeled "To disable call
waiting..." - if you do not disable call waiting while online with USA2net,
incoming calls can and will knock you offline.
To use the utility to setup an email account only, just
uncheck the "Create Dial-Up Connection" checkbox and enter your user
information as described above. If you are using more than one email account,
make sure to uncheck the "Remove Existing Dial-Up and Email Accounts"
checkbox as well so existent email account information is not deleted.
When you are finished filling in the form, click on the Next
button. The configuration software will make the necessary updates to you
computer. Two new icons will appear on your desktop - one is labeled USA and is
a shortcut to Internet Explorer, the other is labeled USA2net and is a shortcut
to the Dialup Connection. Just click on the icon labeled USA2net, click on the
Connect button (your username and password will already be there) and you're
set!
